Welcome to the Churcham School Charity & PTFA
The Churcham School Charity & PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association) is a friendly group of volunteers who work together to support our school community and create enjoyable experiences for the children at Churcham Primary School.
In 2022, our PTFA successfully gained charitable status as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), enabling us to expand our fundraising opportunities and maximise the support we can provide for the school.
Our Aims:
Our two main goals are to:
Work in partnership with staff, pupils and families to enrich the children's experiences and support the delivery of the curriculum.
Raise additional funds for activities, resources, facilities and equipment that enhance the education and wellbeing of all pupils.
What We Do:
The PTFA organises a variety of events throughout the year, helping to create memorable experiences for our children while raising valuable funds for the school.
Events may include:
School discos
Cake sales
Craft competitions
Christmas activities and trips
Summer Fun Days
Non-uniform and themed dress-up days
Family events and community activities
The most important aim of our events is to bring our school community together, have fun and create lasting memories for our children.
Busy Planning for the Year Ahead
We have already been busy this year communicating together, sharing ideas and planning events and projects that will benefit the children and wider school community. We are always looking for new ways to support the school and would love to hear any suggestions from parents, carers, grandparents and friends of the school. Whether you can spare a little time occasionally or would like to be more involved, every contribution makes a difference.
Community Textile Recycling Bin
Our school is proud to have a community clothing and textile recycling bin on site in partnership with C&G Collections Ltd.
Located outside the school and accessible to the whole community, the recycling bin provides an easy way to recycle unwanted clothing, shoes and textiles while helping to raise funds for the school. Every donation supports both environmental sustainability and our fundraising efforts. As our children grow, it's wonderful to know that together we are helping to protect their future while turning unwanted textiles into valuable support for the school.

Get Involved
The PTFA is always looking for new volunteers, fresh ideas and helping hands. You do not need to attend every meeting or commit lots of time. Even helping occasionally at an event can make a huge difference.

How Funds Are Used
Money raised by the PTFA helps provide additional opportunities and resources for our children that go beyond the school's core budget. Previous and future fundraising may support:
Educational visits and experiences
Playground and outdoor learning resources
Reading and curriculum resources
Special events and enrichment activities
Wellbeing and community projects
Equipment that enhances the children's learning environment
